Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who breached a barrier and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents showed that he was due to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account includes clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had assembled in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two distinct characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, securing several for best costume and production design.
