Iran Reports Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any impact is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Additional Developments
In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a several projectiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
