American actor Finn, who was seen in popular television series like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California this Monday after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, as reported by news outlets.
"He saw everyone as a friend - only friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
A Prolific Career on Screen
Finn's first television role was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.
He was also seen in a regular part on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, such as:

Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.

Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a comedy group of six known as "Beer Shark Mice".
"He taught, supported, and inspired many learners throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.
In a tribute, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared on social media.
The actor is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his family.
